This is my story of laughing at the adventures or pain points in my life. Now some people might take this as sad, sadistic and sometimes painful, but I have decided to laugh at my frustrations and pain points. Basically, I am tired of crying, so I laugh. It’s therapeutic and a little off the bean. So, I have come to the conclusion that something is wrong with my village… so then I am beginning to wonder what is wrong with me?
Again, this is supposed to be funny at least to me that sometimes my life is just ridiculous. And I apologize in advance for anyone offended. Again, my strange thinking.
Well hello to Angie’s wacky world so, I know I haven’t written in awhile first because my carpal tunnel is acting up. Yes, this pain has not only affected my writing but also my gaming. I am a gamer and on Friday nights. I usually get off work make it home get comfortable and game all night. It’s my relaxation and my escape from my adventures of traveling through life.
I try to be an adult the rest of the weekend by organizing my home office, paying bills, doing laundry, etc.
Well back to my adventures in life. So, the construction in my state is still going on. I live in one state and travel to the connecting state to work. So, I have mentioned in the previous blogs that I call this construction the over the river and through the woods adventure or land of the orange barrels. I have now changed the name to what in ham and cheese are they doing today? Or, what fresh hell is this?
Last I left off they decided to close the bridge from one state to the other. Well, the GPS this time just took me the scenic route or what I call the newest tourist attraction to every sink hole, pothole, crater and let’s not forget the ever-present ditch. I still think this a tourist attraction for off-the road four wheelers that they should advertise as hey forget off-roading in the mountain terrain these streets are the rough terrain guaranteed to break an axle or two and no you didn’t really need that bumper or fender.
Now they are just making stuff up I have decided. After closing the bridge to which they added all kinds of signs. They decided to open the bridge up BUT they left all of the signs in place. Hence, I continue to get off before the bridge, drive the newest obstacle course and then get back on the bridge further down the road. So, I noticed that there is traffic that I am joining on the bridge so maybe they have opened it. The next day I ignore the signs and low and behold the bridge is opened so I smile and foolishly think that they are done.
Oh! Angie, what is wrong with you. The next week last week I again ignore the signs from last month that are still flashing for JULY and drive onto the bridge which starts out as three lanes after joining, but no it is the land of the orange barrels which squeezes all three lanes down to no not two, not one but the shoulder yes we are riding on the shoulder and the people who spaced this apparently spaced for a small vehicle I have a midsized SUV and I am very close to the bridge wall I am afraid of hitting my mirror.
Just to cheer me up that I am not totally exaggerating I look in my mirror behind me and large truck that is following me is knocking down the orange barrels like dominos. So, Yes I Laugh. Again, Angie has a warped since of humor. Now my exit off the freeway still amazes me that all of the lights along the road to get off are not on including the streetlights once I exit. I am curious about this because this section is usually populated by the homeless. There is not anything there but a big building that used to be a bank that has graffiti spray painted on it. I only know because I have seen it in daylight. This entire area of streetlights our completely dark. The next intersection has a gas station that is closed when I drive through the area.
My concern is the homeless that are walking across the street and highway, and you must be careful or you will have an accident. Now this isn’t funny, it’s dangerous. I tried to report it but it seems too much paperwork online. I mean name, address, phone number and a detailed description of the problem. I’m tired just looking at this form.
In fact, I had to laugh at myself because when I finally got to work, I felt like I was playing this game of dodging the cars in the parking garage. Yes, there is a sign that says drive 15 mph, but I hear tires screeching as they come around the corner. I hide behind the pillar or a car to keep myself from getting running over. Now after getting through the latest construction of what in the ham and cheese are they doing. I sit in my car trying to catch my breath and say out loud that’s it I’m going home and going to bed and then I realize. I haven’t even gotten out of the car to go in the building to work.
YES I laughed.
